These are archive pictures of the building project...
Drywall! Being delivered and installation beginning. Most of the
house drywall is complete as of the 8th. The only parts remaining are
those high spots that need scaffolding to reach.

Here the kitchen drywall is complete. To drywall the great room ceiling,
they have filled the entire room with scaffolding and have planks on top to walk
around on. The left scaffolding picture is looking from the kitchen and the
right one is looking back from the family room.

Here Amos Redcay is
working at about 20-22 feet on March 25th. As of the April 4th, he is
through the roof! He hauls the stone from our collected stone pile in the
far distance of the picture to the right in his pickup and then loads them on
the front porch. His helper, Roland, carries them up the steps to second
floor and then up the pull-down stairs in Heather's bedroom to the attic.
Then up a ramp built above the great room ceiling to a hole in the roof to a
platform on the roof. As soon as it thaws out again, they will go up there
and continue the chimney above the roof.

Siding is complete! Our neighbor Jeff
Metzler of Metzler's Home Improvements, has done a spectacular job on the
siding! He was well over half way
finished in only 3 1/2 days.
Front and back views of the project as of 2/11.

Here John and Steve finish placing the top radius window and a view of it from
inside.
Stone fireplace is about 50% compete. All three stone arches are now
complete.

The two arches shown here are in the upstairs library. One over the small
gas fireplace to the right and the other over a small "Brick oven" inset to the
left.

Steve O' ... His heat vents are NUMBER 1! Well, at least this on is.
Okay, its the first one.
Ducts are Quacking

"Enhanced Ductwork Coverage added due to POPULAR demand from JackRabbit

Fireplace block, brick, and chimney is complete! This photo is
looking up the chimney from the great room. The scaffolding and ladder to
the right are sitting in the library (second floor landing).

The stone mason is well underway. (1/16/03) Here he just finished the arch over
the great room fireplace. This photo is directly below the part of the
chimney visible in the photo above.

Here the shingles are being delivered and then installed...
Snow on Christmas Day 2002...I believe we have a Holiday Weather House.
So far, the house has been under construction for two major holidays,
Thanksgiving and Christmas and there has been significant snow storms on both of
them. We had 11 inches total.

The South wall of the Great Room is coming together. I'm nailing the studs
next to the top radius window. This one wall will have 12 laminated beams
incorporated into it!

First snow on the house, Thanksgiving Day.
July 2: Hardwood floor is Goin' Down!:

My good friend John S. came to get me started in the kitchen.
Yippee! The kitchen is finished! Four solid days; my whole body
hurts; and I'm barely over 1/3rd done! Check out the little back door
hardwood Welcome Mat I added. And I don't even know Mat!

Hallway and kitchen Hi-Hats are working!

Front porch lights are working!

Check out the beautiful electric panel.

Most people thought we were building a house to live in...actually it is just a
nice dog house. This is an unaltered photo of our dog Carbon standing in
front of (the back of) the house.

Moved the web cam above the Great Room's Radius Top Window. That
was a wobbly last couple feet on that ladder on top of the scaffolding!
